Who makes it, and what to know
AGA makes its cast-iron cookers in Shropshire, England. Since February 2026 AGA has been owned by Composition Brands, which also owns Viking. AGA's US warranty: one year parts and labor, then parts only for years two to five. This is the traditional AGA: the three cast-iron ovens are on all the time and work together, set to one of four levels, which keeps the kitchen warm; AGA says that from cold they take several hours to heat. The two hotplates switch on and off separately. It weighs 815 lb, so the floor must be level and strong enough to carry it, and AGA asks for a licensed electrician and its own 240-volt, 40-amp circuit. AGA says colors it does not have in stock take about 16 weeks. If you want to switch the ovens off between meals, the eR7 100 looks the same and does that, for about $2,000 more at Abt. You buy from Abt Electronics, a family-owned appliance and electronics store in Glenview, Illinois, open since 1936. Abt handles delivery and returns: most items go back within 30 days in their original packaging, and Abt may charge the return shipping. The warranty is AGA's.

How AGA rates
