Who makes it, and what to know
Bertazzoni is an Italian family company that has made cooking equipment since 1882; it says its ranges are designed, engineered and made in Italy, at its own factory in Guastalla. Bertazzoni's warranty is two years, parts and labor, and four years if you register the appliance; complaints about oven temperature are covered for only the first 180 days. The gold versions carry Bertazzoni's Collezione Metalli gold set: satin gold knobs and handle finials. Induction heats the pan itself, so pans must be magnetic, and it needs a 240-volt, 40-amp circuit. The Master Series costs well under the Professional Series; it has no self-clean or air-fry mode. You buy from Abt Electronics, a family-owned appliance and electronics store in Glenview, Illinois, open since 1936. Abt handles delivery and returns: most items go back within 30 days in their original packaging, and Abt may charge the return shipping. The warranty is Bertazzoni's.

“We purchased this range for our remodeled kitchen when other more expensive induction ranges were back-ordered. We had always owned gas ranges, but are very pleased with this purchase. It's on par with the fancier induction ranges from well known brands that we have tested before, but for less $. It boils very fast, has a high degree of control over the temperature, and many oven settings. We really wanted manual controls (knobs) instead of a touchscreen. The oven is surprisingly spacious with many rack positions that are numbered for easy identification. It does run hotter than the temperature knob indications, but we'd rather that than not hot enough, and it's consistent. Heats evenly. Have roasted turkeys, ham, made pizza, baked bread, etc. all with great success. We like that the oven light is always on when the oven is on, making it easy to see inside and know that it's running. There are only a few small downsides that don't bother us but are worth nothing. The fan runs every time the oven is on and continues until it cools down, which some people don't like to listen to. Also, the glass on the oven door can sometimes shift in the frame and the corner pops out when the oven heats up. This doesn't cause any issues and can be easily shifted back into place, but it would be nice if the door frame was bigger and held the glass more tightly. Overall, really great stove.”
