Who makes it, and what to know
Smeg is an Italian appliance maker based in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia; Vittorio Bertazzoni founded it in 1948. Smeg USA's warranty is one full year from purchase, parts and labor. Smeg launched its small appliances in 2014. It boils and switches off, and that is all: for green or white tea at a lower temperature, the KLF04 is the same body with temperature settings. The lid opens slowly so steam does not rush out, and the limescale filter lifts out to wash. The links on this page go to Smeg's own US store, so delivery, returns and the warranty are Smeg's.
