Who makes it, and what to know
Bertazzoni is an Italian family company that has made cooking equipment since 1882; it says its ranges are designed, engineered and made in Italy, at its own factory in Guastalla. Bertazzoni's warranty is two years, parts and labor, and four years if you register the appliance; complaints about oven temperature are covered for only the first 180 days. Bertazzoni says its hoods are made in Italy and that each pairs with its ranges of the same size. It can be ducted outside or set to recirculate, and the stainless steel baffle filters go in the dishwasher. You buy from Abt Electronics, a family-owned appliance and electronics store in Glenview, Illinois, open since 1936. Abt handles delivery and returns: most items go back within 30 days in their original packaging, and Abt may charge the return shipping. The warranty is Bertazzoni's.
