Who makes it, and what to know
Fisher & Paykel is a New Zealand appliance brand that has been part of China's Haier Group since 2012. It does not say where these ranges are made; Abt's listing says Thailand. Fisher & Paykel's warranty: two years, parts and labor, with no registration needed, and it passes to a later owner of the home. All gas, so it runs from a gas line and an ordinary 120-volt outlet. The Series 7 is simpler than the Series 9: three oven functions instead of nine, no self-clean, and a storage drawer rather than a warming drawer, for about $800 less at Abt. Fisher & Paykel says the oven fits a 26 lb turkey. You buy from Abt Electronics, a family-owned appliance and electronics store in Glenview, Illinois, open since 1936. Abt handles delivery and returns: most items go back within 30 days in their original packaging, and Abt may charge the return shipping. The warranty is Fisher & Paykel's.
