Who makes it, and what to know
Fisher & Paykel is a New Zealand appliance brand that has been part of China's Haier Group since 2012. It does not say where these ranges are made; Abt's listing says Thailand. Fisher & Paykel's warranty: two years, parts and labor, with no registration needed, and it passes to a later owner of the home. Dual fuel means gas burners over an electric oven, so it needs a gas line and a 240-volt circuit. The oven's nine functions include Aero Pastry with a pizza mode and Rapid Proof for bread, and there is a warming drawer underneath. The color versions cost about $1,000 more than stainless at Abt. You buy from Abt Electronics, a family-owned appliance and electronics store in Glenview, Illinois, open since 1936. Abt handles delivery and returns: most items go back within 30 days in their original packaging, and Abt may charge the return shipping. The warranty is Fisher & Paykel's.

“This thing is beautiful and has lots of bells and whistles. Love the gas + electric combo, and thus far, everything looks, feels and functions as it should. It feels high-end and well-made. Came out of the packaging in perfect condition. I love the functionality of everything. Only criticisms are the larger burners can throw flames pretty high and make a low, simmer, tough to achieve at times (again, only largest burners) -- but has been manageable. I'd also say the fan runs for quite a while after the oven's turned-off and it seems "loud" -- however, in all honesty, I've never had another oven like this to compare the noise(s) across the board. Overall, pretty happy with this thing.”
