Who makes it, and what to know
Fisher & Paykel is a New Zealand appliance brand that has been part of China's Haier Group since 2012. It does not say where these ranges are made; Abt's listing says Thailand. Fisher & Paykel's warranty: two years, parts and labor, with no registration needed, and it passes to a later owner of the home. Dual fuel means gas burners over an electric oven, so it needs a gas line and a 240-volt circuit. The oven's nine functions include Aero Pastry with a pizza mode and Rapid Proof for bread; the self-clean runs at a very high temperature to break down food residue. There is a warming drawer underneath. The color versions cost about $1,100 more than stainless at Abt. You buy from Abt Electronics, a family-owned appliance and electronics store in Glenview, Illinois, open since 1936. Abt handles delivery and returns: most items go back within 30 days in their original packaging, and Abt may charge the return shipping. The warranty is Fisher & Paykel's.
