Unique Appliances is based in Oakville, Ontario, and says it was founded more than 30 years ago. The doors on the 7, 8.7 and 11.7 cu. ft. models cannot be reversed, so check the hinge side before you order. The 8.7 cu. ft. model has to be defrosted by hand; the 11.7 cu. ft. models are frost free. Unique describes the 8.7 as a "9 cu. ft." fridge in its text. Not on Amazon at the moment; sold through the brand's own dealers. Kept here because it is the mid-price retro worth knowing about.
