Who makes it, and what to know
Viking is an American range maker based in Greenwood, Mississippi. Viking says the majority of its products are made there; its product pages do not say where each model is built. Since February 2026 it has been owned by Composition Brands, which also owns AGA. Viking's warranty: two years full on the whole range, 90 days on cosmetic parts such as glass and paint, and from year three to year five the burners (and on dual fuel the electric elements) as parts only, with you paying the labor. The 3 Series is the least expensive of Viking's three range lines at Abt. Dual fuel means gas burners over an electric oven, so it needs both a gas line and a 240-volt circuit. Viking's convection fan turns in both directions at two speeds, and the oven racks run on roller-bearing glides. You buy from Abt Electronics, a family-owned appliance and electronics store in Glenview, Illinois, open since 1936. Abt handles delivery and returns: most items go back within 30 days in their original packaging, and Abt may charge the return shipping. The warranty is Viking's.
