Recall check. This model line was recalled in February 2022 for a gas leak and fire risk: tubing to the bake and broil burners could separate. The recall covers ranges made from August 10 to December 1, 2021; the fix is a free repair. A range bought new today is outside those dates. Viking recall line: 888-566-2512 (checked September 2026). Who makes it, and what to know
Viking is an American range maker based in Greenwood, Mississippi. Viking says the majority of its products are made there; its product pages do not say where each model is built. Since February 2026 it has been owned by Composition Brands, which also owns AGA. Viking's warranty: two years full on the whole range, 90 days on cosmetic parts such as glass and paint, and from year three to year five the burners (and on dual fuel the electric elements) as parts only, with you paying the labor. All gas, so it runs from a gas line and a 120-volt outlet. The control panel is painted in the range's color. Viking's own site badges this model a bestseller. You buy from Abt Electronics, a family-owned appliance and electronics store in Glenview, Illinois, open since 1936. Abt handles delivery and returns: most items go back within 30 days in their original packaging, and Abt may charge the return shipping. The warranty is Viking's.

“I love the range. I'm not happy with the customer service. From the time you order the product till the time you receive it is extreme. It ships from New Jersy to Washington and sets for weeks.”
“This model replaced my old stove which was the same make and style. I had the older model for over 15 years and I wanted an upgrade before the ban on gas stoves takes place in New York State. Has everything I love plus more. Now has lighting over the knobs so you can see settings better. Same great oven and top burner features. Please note I may or may not be affected by the state ban because I had a gas stove already in place but I did not want to take any chances. Only issue I can say during delivery was not being eligible for deluxe status to have stove brought up four stairs and brought in to house. I live too far away. I bought the five year service plan only because the one concern with old stove was the heat did cause a mother board to go and need replacing and the oven stopped working. This happened about 4-5 years from original purchase of first stove and again after 15 years so I just replaced the entire stove. I hope this is not a typical fault to the stove but just be aware.”
“I had an issue with the Wolf range I ordered due to only 2” clearance for gas pipe. I changed to Viking which has a 3 3/4” clearance. I had to pay a 15% restocking fee which I wasn’t happy about but it is the superior range in my view. AJ Madison was helpful but the install was less than 3 stars.”
