Who makes it, and what to know
Viking is an American range maker based in Greenwood, Mississippi. Viking says the majority of its products are made there; its product pages do not say where each model is built. Since February 2026 it has been owned by Composition Brands, which also owns AGA. Viking's warranty: two years full, 90 days on cosmetic parts, and from year three to year five the fan motor as a part only, with you paying the labor. The hood is the shell and the lights: Viking requires a separate ventilator kit, the fan, which is sold separately and is not in this price. For this width Viking lists 1,200 CFM interior and in-line kits and a 1,500 CFM exterior kit. The knobs light up and extend to set the lights and fan, then retract. A heat sensor turns the fan up if the temperature climbs. You buy from Abt Electronics, a family-owned appliance and electronics store in Glenview, Illinois, open since 1936. Abt handles delivery and returns: most items go back within 30 days in their original packaging, and Abt may charge the return shipping. The warranty is Viking's.
