Who makes it, and what to know
Smeg is an Italian appliance maker based in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia; Vittorio Bertazzoni founded it in 1948. Smeg USA's warranty is two full years, parts, labor and in-home service, then parts only for the sealed cooling system from the third through the fifth year. Smeg created the FAB range in 1997; this two-door version is its largest. The ice maker needs a water supply line. The doors hinge on the right and cannot be reversed. Smeg's US store states no level. Williams Sonoma sells it with room-of-choice white glove at a flat rate; AJ Madison delivers to the front door. 'SMEG does not offer installation services.'
